About Me

Let's see.... I'm the married mother of one obnoxiously cute little girl who is almost 2 years old, former Air Force egghead, still trying to find my niche in civilian life. We recently moved to just outside Portland, Oregon after living overseas for 2 years, and a year stint in Missouri. We are excited about living in a new area, and hoping it's a much better fit for us than the midwest was. As non-religious liberals, we definately stuck out like a sore thumb. So, fingers crossed, this will be the right place for us!

My Interests

Reading, cross stitch, other nerdy stuff like that. Yoga and Pilates, and embarrassingly enough Tae-Bo! I love those horrible gossip rags, I'll admit it, it's such a guilty pleasure. Hanging out with friends... Not that I have any where we are living! Here's to making new friends :) MySpace Layouts

I'd like to meet:

I wouldn't mind meeting our current Commander in Chief to see if he really is as stupid as he comes across.... I am a Marilyn Monroe fan, but I think she would be like the drunk girlfriend that you always have to babysit or go fetch from someone's dorm room before she does something she'll regret. So I guess just Dubya, wow, that's sad.

Music:

All kinds... Not too big on Death Metal (sorry Bart) or Rap. I've been on a real blues kick lately (go Sirus blues!), but if I had to narrow it down, I really do love Classic Rock and really bad 80's music. Give me a little A-Ha, and I'm in heaven.

Movies:

I'm a sucker for Musicals (to the absolute dismay of my husband) and old hollywood movies... you know, the kind where the movie stars actually had a little more class. Slapstick comedy also blows wind up my skirt, and I do love me some Beverly Hills Cop!

Television:

Lost, and I am almost ashamed to admit, American Idol. It's kind of like a train wreck... I feel compelled to watch it.

Books:

Books?? Who has time to read books anymore? I am lucky if I get to read one magazine article all the way through without interruption.

Heroes:

My Grandmother. She came to the U.S. when she was 19, and didn't speak English. She managed to get a good job, get married, deal with being pregnant and alone while my Grandpa was overseas, get cancer, whup cancer's ass, and still have the best attitude and outlook on life that I've ever seen!
