KACHINA HERBS-AROMATHERAPY IN SOUTH FLORIDA

Welcome to Kachina Herbs, the premiere destination for the highest quality aromatherapy products and supplies in South Florida. We offer the best in certified organic, pure essential oils and herbs today's organic community has to offer. Our aromatherapy supplies are carefully chosen from a small, elite group of importers, traders and distillers who share our commitment to Fair Trade and sustainable, certified organic agricultural practices.
With 23 years of experience in aromatherapy, Kachina Herbs is the oldest child of Kelli and Scott. We offer first hand experience into the rich, exotic world of aromatherapy in complementary alternative medicine. As a part of the growing Do-It-Yourself community, Kachina Herbs has developed an educational program designed to empower our customers to take active part in their healthcare. We offer classes in everything from basic soap making to an in-depth certification course where the lay person is immersed into the world of aromatherapy science and emerges a beginning practitioner with a better understanding of why the application of natural, essential oils versus synthetic, fragrance oils in home health and hygiene is better for us and therefore better for the planet.
Time constraints keeping you from classes? No worries! Visit our retail section for the highest quality aromatherapy products available on the market. Everything on our shelves is handmade by us with that secret ingredient – LOVE! We carry handmade soaps, salves, essential oil blends and synergies, all made with 100% certified organic essential oils. Our prices vary; we have beautiful soaps, salves and synergies for the practical minded, on a budget client all the way up to elegant bath and beauty products for the delightfully spoiled. For the practitioner we offer a section of bulk supplies, essential oils, carrier oils, soap base, jars, bottles – you name it, we have something for everyone!
Whether you purchase from us online or come to our store for a delicious cup of herbal tea (certified organic, of course) your time shared with us will leave you with a taste for the exciting world of holistic aromatherapy.

WHAT YOU'LL NEVER FIND AT KACHINA HERBS

Animal parts or animal testing
Unethically harvested materials for essential oil production. This means we are currently not carrying Sandalwood or Palo Santo essential oils. These oils come from trees that must be cut down for the eo and their populations are being decimated by the demand for these oils. There are currently no farms growing these trees for production. If somebody tells you their oils are from farm raised trees they are either blissfully ignorant of the real situation or lying. If I find an ethical harvest of either one of the oils - and can confirm the claims of the distiller, I will let you know.
OUR SOAPS ARE:

*100% Pure Soap

*Hypo-Allergenic

*Non-Comedogenic

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

After working with essential oils and herbs for over 20 years I started my own business which is all about complimenting health and hygiene naturally. I have two rockin' kids, one a punky fashionista, one still finding her way and life is just pretty perfect.

I'm looking for new friends and old ones too, but I'm really interested in quality, not quantity. If you accept an invite to be my friend you'll be getting bulletins for indie fashion and accessories and crafty events in my area...a lot of political bulletins too.
I'm looking to meet people who are interested in working with herbs and true essential oils. People who are motivated, sincere, live with honor. People who work in the medical profession and are open to and actively seek complementary methods of holistic healing, artists, activists, herbalists, DIY'ers...I would love to meet people who really and truly walk their talk. No pretenders I've had enough of that to last me several lifetimes!

Music:

The following two pictures are of herbs traditionally used in ceremony by Native North American Indian tribes. Any herbs we sell that are traditionally used by American Indians, whether on the North, Central or Southern continents are purchased from native owned businesses. This is Sweetgrass. It comes from many areas in the North. The scent of this grass is divine! Just smelling these beautiful braids gets me happy! Sweetgrass is also used to smudge with but always use the sage first. Sweetgrass is food for all things so you want to purify first. The braids are burned, made into tea, hung over doors, windows, in cars, over stoves and beds for blessing on all People walking, sleeping, being prepared or just being around it. The sweetgrass where I'm from doesn't smell like this but is used for basket weaving by the Seminole Indians. I love this picture of my plant helper California White Sage! Thanks to the digital age even people with zero photography skills can take nice photos, LOL. California white sage is one of the most fragrant plants. It can be used for tea, chewing or burning. It's a wonderful plant to burn for cleansing an area. This is a bowl of Lavender angustafolia essential oil. Though not FDA approved (I guess there's no pharmacy trying to use it), The active chemical constituents in this type of Lavender can help with inflammation, depression and anxiety. Want more information? Come have a complementary cup of tea with me and we'll talk aromatherapy!
