Who is Levi Tucker? I am a musician. To some, this is a very bad word. The stereotype of young men with guitars can evoke images of irresponsibility, drugs, groupies and a person with an overall lack of intellectual awareness. I’ll be the first to tell you that I have suffered that existence. The fast paced rat race of laziness, the endless parties, the stupor drunken nights that I’ll never have back, were all a part of my growth and transition from musician… to a much more powerful stance: that of an artist. For many, music is a form of entertainment, a pleasant pastime, hobby or simply a daily enjoyment, a break from the routine. For others like myself, it is much more powerful. For me music is my life, my religion, my philosophy, my comfort, and my weakness. It represents every emotion I feel, every memory I have and all that I have lost and gained. Over the years there have been many phases of my musical development. I started by playing saxophone and four years ago moved into songwriting and guitar. Now I use everything, Saxes, flutes, harmonicas, guitars, and vocals, in my music. I have enjoyed the company of many wonderful musicians along this journey. About a year and a half ago I met my partner in crime, the notorious Matt Molten (the big guy who plays bass) that many of you know from Fresno’s tower district. Matt and I have become a powerful songwriting team and the possibilities are endless with our combined talents.
