Knitting, crochet, reading, movie watching, daydreaming, paper crafts, art, hiking, exploring, history, and (of course) music.
Honest, down-to-earth people are much desired.
I like people who can have conversations and not just sit and talk about themselves nonstop. I like original thought and ideas that spark other ideas.
I love people that like to question the world around them, discuss the questions they formulate, and aren't afraid to admit that they just might possibly not have the right answers.
I like learning from people, and being around people that aren't afraid to learn from others.
I like strength and courage, people who aren't afraid to stand for what's right. I like people who can admit when they've made a mistake ... and people who don't hide behind facades.
I used to have a huge long list here, by my taste in music is so damn eclectic that it just keeps growing. I range from Ani DiFranco all the way to ZZ Top.
here's what I've been listening to lately, courtesy of last.fm:
Same as with music also applies to movies. Some of the biggies are: Boondock Saints, Dragonheart, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Mulan, Titanic, Fargo, Waking Ned Devine, Girl Interrupted, American Beauty, The Fifth Element, Lord of the Rings, American History X, Fight Club, Mystery Men, For the Boys, Night at the Roxberry, and X-Men
Pretty much anything on Discovery Channel, The Learning Channel, DIY Nework, HGTV, and The History Channel
I love fantasy related books, cheep romance novels, and deeper thought-provoking titles. recently read list includes: The Illuminator, Eye of the World, The Great Hunt, The Time Traveler's Wife, and an easy-read series by Debbie Macombre
My father, my mother, my daughter, my friends...
I find I meet somebody pretty often that has done something heroic in my book. Just managing to get through the hells of life with a smile on our faces ... heck I think we are all everyday heroes by our own rights.
