Mysterious Marta

I was 17 years old when I asked for guitar lessons for Xmas, I got a guitar instead. I didn..t touch it for a whole year, I thought that it wasn..t possible for me to lorn how to play it. But one day I tryed to play hey jude and it sounded like hey jude! After that, there was no turning back. And real soon I started to write songs but I have been making lyrics since I can remember. I lived in a small town called Ísafjörður 2007-2008. When I first moved there I felt that everybody was watching me. I could see it on the peoples faces that they where thinking "Who is this Marta? What is she doing here? Where did she come from?". That..s how the name Mysterious Marta became mine, I am Mysterious Marta. I loved living in Ísafjörður, I was somewhere out of nowhere and I had the mountains and the sea surrounding me and that is a big part of my music. Fall 2008 I moved to Hafnafjörður to attend school and to do more with my music.
