Digital Effects Artist

About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V3.6 !

I'm Brian D. Hawk, Digital Effects Artist. I just received my Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Savannah College of Art and Design, with a major in Visual Effects and a minor in Technical Direction. What all that mumbo jumbo means is that I do those really nifty computer-generated special effects you see in all your favorite movies. I'm from Asheville, and I'm hoping I can find a job there after I graduate. As for the rest of me, I'm into all sorts of good family fun, such as drinking, dancing, shooting pool, and generally making an ass of myself.Check out my website --Also, check out my friend Joe's work. He's another effects artist like myself.

My Interests

Martial arts, music, art, poetry, computers, literature, women. All these things keep me going. I love food, and cooking. Sushi is divine, and any peanut butter and chocolate combinations ( Reese's Cups are the monkey on my back ). I like movies, I'm studying Visual Effects at SCAD, so I like to know what's going on in the industry. I enjoy dancing, swimming, and sleeping, and all of these are best done with a beautiful lady with me ( wink, wink ).

I'd like to meet:

Anybody. Women interested in light humour and heavy flirting are most welcome. Artists, writers, thinkers, or just fellow wiseguys who enjoy a good a joke.

Music:

Heavy Metal and Hard Rock mostly. My digital Music collection contains Metallica (lots), Godsmack, Disturbed, Alice N Chains, Cake, The White Stripes, Atmosphere, Killswitch Engage, John Mayer, Evanescence, Avril Lavigne, Default, Korn, Ozzy, Staind, Nickleback, Matchbox 20, 3 Doors Down, Rob Zombie, Alter Bridge, Shinedown, Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, The Avalanches, 3 Days Grace, 7 Mary 3, and a whole lot more that I don't even realize is in there.

Movies:

The Matrix Trilogy (get over it, they all rock), The Crow, Harry Potter (I'm currently undergoing therapy to get past this secret obsession), Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, The Boondock Saints, American Beauty, Fight Club, The Brother's Grimm, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Books:

Stephen King and Douglas Adams are my yin and yang. Also, I love Harry Potter (see related comment in movie section). Catch-22 is fantastic, and A Modest Proposal is possibly the greatest piece of creative writing ever conceived.
