La protagonista de la serie es Ellen Pompeo que interpreta a la Dra. Meredith Grey. El episodio piloto fue emitido el 27 de marzo de 2005. The series revolves around Dr. Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo), who began in the show as a surgical intern at the fictional Seattle Grace Hospital in Seattle, Washington. She and the other former interns became residents at the end of the third season. The show features an ensemble cast, though Meredith is presented as the central character, providing voice-over narration at the beginning and end of most episodes. The show is now in production for its fourth season with the first new episode that aired on Thursday, September 27, 2007.[1]The title of the show is an allusion to the anatomy textbook Gray's Anatomy, and is a play on the name of the central character (Meredith Grey).
