wow, New Awlins is SPINNY!

About Me

well hello. i am a writer who sometimes writes, often avoids the abyssal depths of my mind and soul, and produces publishable beauty/horror when i allow myself to go there.

My Interests

writing, avoiding writing, slam sessions, traveling, camping, water skiing, skydiving, working out, meditation, dancing when no one's looking.

I'd like to meet:

people who are reliable and painfully honest.

Music:

all-time fav is TOOL. System of a Down, Alice in Chains, hed p.e., Manson, Slipknot. Morphine, Widespread Panic, MOFRO (just buy Lochloosa and you'll see), Shooter Jennings, Lyrics Born, Nas, old Pepper, old Outkast. Favorite genre is jungle / drum n bass, especially R.A.W., CRS?, Craze, Andy C, Roni Size, Simon Bassline Smith, AK1200, Swamp, Jayvon, XYZ, Hive. Girlie/whiny music makes me gag!

Movies:

Anything sick, twisted and offensive to the general population. Kill Bill, City of God, Requiem for a Dream, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Death to Smoochy, Hero, Unleashed, Fearless, House of Flying Daggers, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, This Girl's Life, Grandma's Boy, Team America, Half Baked, Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle, Napoleon Dynamite, the Breakup, The Secret. I despise chick flicks!! The two movies that saved my life are Schindler's List and What the Bleep Do We Know?

Television:

PBS, Heroes, Scrubs, Sopranos, 24, South Park, Deadwood, Weeds.

Books:

Currently reading Barbara Kingsolver's High Tide in Tucson and Dan Brown's Angels and Demons. (Also Lord of the Flies but am hating it.) Augusten Burroughs, Hunter S. Thompson, Laurie Notaro, Tim Dorsey, Irvine Welsh, Douglas Adams, Carl Hiassen, Dave Barry, Lewis Grossberger a.k.a. Media Person, Tom Wolfe's Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test, Albert Camus' The Stranger, Anthony Burgess' A Clockwork Orange, and George Orwell's 1984.

Heroes:

people who travel to third world countries to help the impoverished. i'll do that soon.
