About Me

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "This above all: to thine own self be true." ~William Shakespeare ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
| View | Add Favorite~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I'm half Indian, half Dutch, and an only child. These things have probably had more to do with shaping who i am today than anything else. And who might that be? Read on...I'm laid back. I hate drama and if you manage to make me lose my tempter I might never forgive you. I'm as judgemental as anyone but as a rule I make a point to be open-minded and I'm always willing to change my bad opinions. I'm too sensitive. I was raised with unconditional love and generosity, and anything less than that from those around me sends me into confusion and doubt. I'm independent. I don't bring my problems to others and I hate letting my happiness depend on anyone who isn't equally dependent on me. On the other hand I thrive on helping other people with their problems. I come across as shy, but I'm actually not. I'm an extrovert in every way, but it's hard for me to completely be myself unless I feel close to someone. Im a big dork. I really am. I love to laugh and I will do whatever it takes to snap out of a bad mood or pity party. I have a wild and crazy side but its a little known fact these days. I'm optimistic and idealistic but always preparing myself for the worst. I'm passionate and emotional but I don't often express it. I'm not sure if I was born that way or if past experience has conditioned me to be like that. These reservations don't extend to the written word, and (clearly) that's how I spill my guts. I'm not normal. Neither are my friends, and I wouldn't have it any other way. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ P.S. You may know me as Phaedre on Explosm. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." - Dr. Seuss~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~"You should make a point of trying every experience once, excepting incest and folk dancing." ~Sir Arnold Bax~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~"Listen. Do not have an opinion while you listen because frankly, your opinion doesnt hold much water outside of Your Universe. Just listen. Listen until their brain has been twisted like a dripping towel and what they have to say is all over the floor." ~Hugh Elliot~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~"Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so." ~Douglas Adams~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~"Grief is a most peculiar thing; we're so helpless in the face of it. It's like a window that will simply open of it's own accord. The room grows cold, and we can do nothing but shiver. But it opens a little less each time, and a little less; and one day we wonder what has become of it." ~Arthur Golden, Memoirs of A Geisha~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~"Happiness makes up in height for what it lacks in length." ~Robert Frost~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Besides the fact that you're the hottest, smartest, sexiest, greatest, awesomest, most fantabulously amazing chic ever, I wanted to say...
