For the fun of it: Robin Williams. John Stewart. For their world view: Al Franken. Jimmy Carter, Mary Roach, Sarah Vowell, Richard DawkinsDead people I'd like to meet: Joseph Smith (I just want to ask him if he was totally sincere and see if he can keep a straight face!). Queen Elizabeth I and her pops Henry VIII. John Adams and Thomas Paine (I have a few questions that I'd like settled once and for all.) Darwin.I would love to spend an entire day with the cast of House.
Varied. I am a huge Parrot Head. I tend towards "old school" stuff, but I increasingly find that I'm drawn into my eldest daughter's likes (musically). My kids, and our babysitter/nanny keep me "in tune" with the newer stuff. As such; I'm comfortable grooving to a slew of different tunes. :) On a classical note; Berlioz, Mozart, and, Bach.
Favorites: The American President Independence Day Men in Black (and sequel) Dogma Office Space

Mary Roach, Sarah Vowel, Gina Kolata, Carl Sagan, Richard Dawkins, and many, many more. Books are my escape.
I don't think I have any heroes. I don't even like that term. To set someone up as a hero is to deny them their ability to be human. Most unfair.
