About Me

originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. after high school i lived in Guatemala for a couple years, during which time i had a very big car accident (head on collision: both cars ended up windshield to windshield, front ends entirely crushed in). one year/six months and three very painful facial re-constructive surgeries later, i eventually moved back home to the Bay Area, i guess you might say to continue my self discovery. in 2002 while on the set of Spider-Man in downtown L.A., as a background extra, i became immediately fascinated with film production. while living in Vegas in 2003, i went to school to study my craft and got involved in the Film Industry. soon after, i moved back to the Bay Area to continue my studies. two weeks into my first semester there, i got a break and worked on my first feature film. i moved to L.A. in Sept 2006 to pursue my career. i am very blessed and very fortunate to work with amazing filmmakers and actors whose artistic energy and endless passion are a great inspiration. Pat P. Miller, Script/Continuity Supervisor, once wrote: "Movie-making is as arduous as it is glamorous."

someone once asked me about a photo i took at the beach. how i was able to capture a beautiful image. aside from my work, photography and writing are my next biggest passions and hobbies. this was my response:
...close your eyes, imagine a warm breeze across your face. the roughness of the sand at the bottom of your feet. the white wash of the ocean curling your toes. the sound of the seagulls and the crashing waves dancing in your mind with a nice, deep, sensual rhythm. the smell of a grand sea. but most importantly, the sensation of being free. all worries and negative thoughts being cleansed from your spirit. breathe in the salty mist. feel the coolness of the water travel from your feet to your chest. you exhale and sigh with great relief as the sun blankets your soul. now, open your eyes and take the shot...
i like to think that we all have beautiful images deep within our souls. if we are patient enough, they'll present themselves before us and leave us breathless. photography and writing are forms of expression which can take you places you never knew existed; places deep within yourself. imagine sunsets. or sunrises. maybe a big spider web glistening with dew in the generating rays of the morning sun, perhaps at an obscure angle. it only takes one photo...one shot of your imagination, one stroke of a pen, and you can be well on your way to ultimate freedom. it's also a great way to connect with nature, and truly appreciate life.
i am a person who is real, open, honest, sincere. very straight forward. raw and intense can produce extremely culminating results creating within a person an ecstatic disposition. very deep and contemplating are two powerful factors which constitute part of who i am. perhaps my transparency is caused by the fact that i have not been afraid to travel into the depths of my existence to discover my individuality.
it's good to appreciate beauty in all shapes and forms, not necessarily simplicity. like when we see a bird hovering in the air, it is merely doing what comes naturally to it, instinctively. that in itself is beautiful. i don't think too many people find it easy in accepting that they are alone and perhaps they feel the need to fill a void in their lives. then again, there is also the percentage of those who are just looking for simple pleasure.
i believe in being challenged, not stressed. you'll learn more in the process. not only of the situation at hand, but also about yourself allowing you to grow. experience causes maturity, which in turn truly defines a person's character and substance. there is too much to appreciate to stress. life is a precious gift. i'm lucky to be alive, first of all, but everything happens for a reason. you create your own reality. always try to be happy in whatever you do and wherever you go. essentially we are all going to die, we exist to not exist, and every time someone gets upset or angry or stressed, that is a second of happiness which they can never get back...ever. it's lost, gone, over. for that one second in time and existence, that person was filled with anger, or hatred. the time we have, we should be grateful and not waste it, but rather enjoy it, embrace it. besides, in the process of anger and unhappiness, we may very well loose those whom we hold dear to our heart and soul. i guess it all comes down to what we truly search for. love, passion, companionship, acceptance. anyone or anything can bring us true happiness, it all depends how open minded, and willing we are. i dread upon the thought of death without truly living. like Rumi wrote: "What is agony of the spirit? To advance toward death without seizing hold of the Water of Life." i want to live, not wonder. embrace life's true beauty and essence. be happy. be willing. be free.
