Minister - Richmond Industrial Remix

About Me

I've been producing electronic music on the amateur level for about five years. Unfortunately, I haven't produced much to date that I've felt is good enough to release, the infamous curse of being a perfectionist. That all changed when my friend Clayton sent me the master copy of Nine Inch Nails "Only". Having heard some of my other work in the genres of dark trance, E.B.M., and old skool techno-rave, he thought I could give an aggressive edge reminiscent of more classic Nine Inch Nails. After 24 hours with no sleep, this is what resulted: "The Apocalyptic Funk Mix", now renamed "There Is Only Me". With the amount of positive feedback it generated from friends both local and abroad, I decided it was time to post some of my work. Since then, I've come out with a few different versions including "I Am Alone", a remix I'm truly satisfied with. As a result, I took it down to Mars Bar for their Retrolutions weekly. It received it's first play in a club on October 12th, 2005. I hope to continue that trend by promoting it at all of Richmond, Virginia's industrial weeklies. I'd ultimately like to create a label that specifically remixes local bands. By taking their music and making it a bit more club-accessible, it'll promote the band's work to people who may otherwise not give their music a chance. This, in turn, helps promote my own abilities. So, if you have a band and can break down the individual elements of your track into .WAV format, I'd be more than happy to remix your songs. If anything, my remixes might take your music in a direction you never thought of before. And, perhaps your music will do the same for my remixes.
