The Decay are a punk band from Guelph/Kitchener Ontario. We're not trying to be anything else.
We've played countless shows across Ontario and always love to check out new cities.
We want to be a part of bringing back the sound, energy an emotion of the punk rock
everyone grew up listening to, but make it aurally and socially relevant to what we're
all experiencing now.
If you want to be a part of that with us, then check us out if we're playing near you.
We'll more often than not be the band opening for a really good band you should listen
to anyway.
The Decay are total weiners and that's why we're in a punk band.
We can't "rip solos", we don't know what benefit "chorus pedals" bring.
Our amps are noisy, we buy everything econo, and we have blistered and broken hands.
We like meeting new bands and people, and taking their suggestions on pizza places
to check out.
The Decay suggests and backs the following fine establishments:
Double Double (Guelph and anywhere)
Twice the Deal (Kitchener/Waterloo)
Free Topping Pizza (Brampton)
Pizza Pizzaz (Sudbury)
Poutine Palace (Sudbury)
Amato PIzza (Toronto)
New York Subway (Toronto)
Harvest Burger (Hamilton)
The BLUE chipstand (Sturgeon Falls)
Elgin St. Diner (Ottawa)

Maximum Rock and Roll Magazine -"Yes! This is the good pop punk, the kind that I remember from when the term still related to actual punk and not candy-coated garbage for snowboard jocks. This seven song CD is reminiscent of the great mid-'90s emo-ish, melodic punk bands outta Florida, like the bands No Idea, or maybe a bit of DILLINGER 4. This is not to be confused as retro-something, however, as they still have a modern sound that keeps them relevant in today's scene. These guys look like four wonderful losers who find their escape through playing catchy, melodic punk. Check it out."
