Like a Phoenix, Eight Point Buck rose from the ashes of a defunct local Atlanta band. Now a trio, guitarist Hunter Jones, bassist Ryan Buck, and drummer Stuart Hutton draw on their broad influences to combine a mix of tones, rhythms, and themes, crafting a sound that has been described as "alt-country indie rock." Although EPB is a relatively new act, the band has already rocked patrons in venues as far away from its Atlanta home base as New York. While EPB cannot be categorized into a single genre, the band strives to compose simple, yet subtly complex music, focusing on a "less is more" mentality. Simple, tight grooves reinforce the melodic guitar riffs and vocal harmonies. From catchy hooks to rocking instrumentals, this band keeps your feet stomping and your head rocking right on through the last note.
