Widetrack was founded in 2005 by Ron Tippin, a multi-faceted musician/producer from Michigan, USA, who wrote, co-engineered, co-produced and funded the debut Widetrack album, released in spring 2007. The follow-up will be released in summer 2009. Buzz on the group has been tremendous since performing at the 2007 and 2008 Voodoo Music Experience shows in New Orleans. Given the chance to perform on the same bill as such artists as Stone Temple Pilots, Nine Inch Nails, Smashing Pumpkins, Rage Against the Machine, The Mars Volta, Porcupine Tree, The Black Crowes and many more, the band rose to these occasions and won over a wealth of new fans. Widetrack is currently playing select dates in support of their 2007 self-titled debut release. A new album is in the works for summer 2009.
