Wow you know how to write lyrics too?!?!

About Me

Scientific studies have conclusively shown that everything that lives shall also die.You Will Die exists as a musical cudgel, a troubled entity that drowns its sorrows in a watering hole where all kill, no frills is the crowning paradigm of the times. In 2001 You Will Die met at the murderous underbelly of this dive: a place so seamy that punk rock was bedfellows with metal extremity, where calculated AmRep-ish timing and structures fornicated freely with the lumbering libido of plate-tectonics-core, and where pompous rock riffs got fisted by blast-beats and molten hardcore adrenalin. Having whet their chops in a multiplicity of bands for the last decade, You Will Die busied itself writing songs, wrecking halls and ruining lives locally for the next year. Having accumulated an ever-increasing live body count, You Will Die also committed confirmed-kill sessions to tape (including most prominently their self-titled CD on Hawthorne Street Records), while continuing to spread the promise of a worse tomorrow around the region with a work ethic that is equal parts puritanical and sociopathic....Errol-knife, Scoth -pipe, Jason-poison.Prior to this, the members have spent time being in bands such as; Blatherskite, D.V., Marmoset, and Ice Nine.At the core of You Will Die's mantle exists a solid foundation of unrelentingly punishing percussion, meat-n-potatoes style guitar shred, and bass tones that only come up from the swamp because they need the air. Songs ebb and flow in an almost celestial fashion. As riff begets riff, tempos change on the drop of a dime, and torrents of punishment blare forth from amp and drum. Air guitars lead to headbanging which gives way to fist- pumping, then air drumming, then devolving into circle-pittery and beyond. No gimmicks, no vocals, no front-man, no samples, no political posturing, and no keyboards: You Will Die is unapologetically instrumental, unabashedly abrasive, and unmistakably distinct. With a live onslaught akin to bobbing for razorwire in a vat of acid You Will Die continue to carpet-bomb the Midwest with a series of live artillery exhibitions. They have shared the floor with a host of bands as varied as their sound: The Riverboat Gamblers, Yob, Buried At Sea,The Wayward, Raise the Red Lantern, Byzantine, Minsk, Burial Year, Demiricous, Tummler, Conifer, Torche, Lords, Racebannon,Black Cobra, Akimbo, The Dream Is Dead, Lair of the Minotaur, Devil to Pay,Sweet Cobra. This load up, load in, move out aesthetic continues to see the plague spread as You Will Die embarks upon several touring opportunities next spring while also continuing to be a favorite spike in the Indiana scenes ear. In addition You Will Die are hammering their steel for another recording session as they've amassed a new arsenal of incendiary devices to be delivered in a multitude of delivery methods at a later date. In the meantime prepare for the end and await the worst. Everything alive shall die, but you already knew that.-D. Britts
