Teer released an independent CD in 1996 that captured the attention of the underground AOR / melodic rock scene. This CD is considered very rare and has sold for $150.00 on E-Bay auctions. Teer spent most of the mid 90s performing live in the central Florida area increasing their showmanship and fan base.
Teer was invited to play at the Livestock 9 Festival by local radio station 98 Rock in 1999. Teer performed to nearly 20,000 at the Sammy Hagar-headlined event and was well received by the crowd. This show catapulted the band into a much higher profile, and by the end of the year their local shows were packed with their loyal fan base.
Teer was subsequently signed to Now & Then / Frontiers records and released their self-titled CD in 2000 to great media and fan adoration. Teer followed the release of their CD with concert appearances in the UK and throughout Florida. Teer was also asked to be former Danger Danger vocalist Ted Poleys backing band for his appearance in the UK.
After nine years of steady hard work, the members of Teer decided to take a hiatus in 2001 to tend to personal issues and explore other musical avenues. Guitarist Shane French temporarily worked with former Savatage members Zak Stevens and Jon Oliva during this time in their new band Circle II Circle. After touring Europe in the summer of 2003 with Circle II Circle, Shane's desire to reunite with his Teer band mates was strong. When he left the band in late 2003, the stage was set for a Teer reunion.
The members of Teer agreed to return to active status in January 2004, and recruited an incredible new bassist, Rob DeVore. After recording some new demos and playing a torrent of local concerts Teer embarked on a tour of the United Kingdom with Tyketto, Jeff Scott Soto and Deadline in November 0f 2004.
Teer plans to release a new CD and to tour Europe and the US extensively in 2006. The band looks forward to the challenge of being the best melodic rock band on the planet.
