I'm Peter.
I like to think that, for the most part, I'm at least a semi-interesting person. One weird thing about me is that I realize I'm one of the few people who actually has their own style, and I guess I kinda hate myself for it, because I realize that the only way to actually make it in this world is to "fit in."
I think that everybody just needs to shut up when they say things about how it's important to be an individual, and not just follow the crowd. Yeah. Everybody wishes that was true, but the truth is that if you actually develop into a complete individual, you'll find that the world is cold and uninviting to those that don't conform.
On that note, everybody's problem is that they think about this completely wrong. If everyone, instead of turning their backs on the world, decided to live as a productive member of society, they would realize that their reasons for nonconformity have no grounds. If everyone conformed, then they wouldn't be shunned by the world.
My least favorite saying is:"when the world turns its back on you, turn your back on the world." You know why I hate that saying? It's because the only reason the world turned it's back on them in the first place was as consequences of some action that was made that "rubbed society the wrong way," so to speak. Then hatred on both sides escalated.
So everybody, just give up on being "different," because, once you've taken advantage of the state of the world, you'll realize that it won't turn it's back on you, because you're "in."
Just trust me on this one.
