When Silence is Golden

IS A COMMUNITY’S STRUGGLE WORTH ITS WEIGHT IN GOLD?When Silence is Golden is a documentary film which follows the director in her quest to lift the silence on the gold mining activities of a Canadian mining company (Golden Star Resources) near a small town in Western Ghana. Through the director's journey, we meet the inhabitants of this town who, despite efforts by the government and the company to silence them, cannot hide their anger and are eager to express their grievances.
