Who am I?
I am Esther. I am a woman. I am strong, independent, beautiful, a daughter of the King, totally in love with God, unique, crazy, spontaneous, passionate, friendly, persistent - and I would not be who I am today if I did not serve the Almighty God.
What do I love?
I love God. I love life. I love Haiti. I love people- maybe too much at times. I love standing up for what I believe in. I love everything that has to do with the sky. I love the gorgeous sunset in the morning- the puffy clouds on some days- the rain on others- the lightning- the thunder. When I was little I used to sit outside on the porch with my family and watch the rain and lightning- listening to the thunder. I love the sunset at night. I love the moon- the sizes of it- different each night. I love when there is no electric in Haiti and the stars shine like nothing I have ever seen before. It is magnificent- God’s beauty just shining through. I love my family- I love my dad - we have gone through some hard times but God has proven faithful and everything has worked out. He has taught me a lot of important things about life. I love my friends- each of them in their own way has influenced me so greatly- they have taught me so many different things. God’s goodness has shown through them and helped me through the rough patches. I love going for walks- preferably with someone, but there okay alone too- more time to think. I love to cuddle. I love watching movies- just hanging out with friends. I love Frostys… : )

Why Haiti?
Cuz God called me there.I have wanted to go since I was twelve- I made it down there right after I graduated college. I went down with Youth with a Mission (YWAM) and stayed for a year, teaching and working with a children's ministry. I experienced a feeling that I have never felt before as soon as my plane touched down in Haiti for the first time. I cannot even explain the feeling…but it was so cool- it just felt like I was home. I love the people here. I love being here. I love walking down the street and everyone knowing my name- the little naked kids all running up to me. The challenge of learning a new language/ new culture/ new way of life is so thrilling. It is all part of God’s plan- part of a big adventure! I can't wait to go back! Heck yes!

What are my dreams?
My dreams…I want to go back down to Haiti...I want to serve God to the fullest of my ability- I want to travel the world- I want to teach- I want to touch the lives of thousands of people- I want to go in a hot air balloon and to ride an elephant- I want to pet manatees and go whale watching- I want to go to the ballet and to the opera- I want to learn Creole, French, Italian, Braille, and Sign Language- I want get married- to have kids- live in Haiti- have my own school- own an orphanage or adopt a bunch of Haitian babies- I want to work in the Haitian prisons and with the women in the marketplace- I want a big dog and a little, itty-bitty dog – I want to love with all of my heart, knowing that I may get hurt and realizing that it is okay- I want to make a difference.

So that is basically me in a nutshell…
Life is all about love. Because God is love, the most important lesson he wants you to learn on earth is how to love. It is in loving that we are most like him, so love is the foundation of every command he has given us. “The whole Law can be summed up in this one command: ‘Love others as you love yourself.’ ” 1 Corinthians 13: 4-7, “Love is patient, love is kind, It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices in the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” (The Purpose Driven Life)
"The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you ever had"

My Interests

I love God .. ......glitter-graphics.com.. “COME to ME, ALL YOU WHO ARE WEARY and BURDENED, and I WILL GIVE YOU REST.” THE WEIGHT of OUR SINS, OUR FAILURES, and OUR WORRIES is TOO MUCH for ONE PERSON to CARRY ALONE. JESUS WANTS THEM ALL. GIVE IT ALL TO HIM.

"WHAT A GOD! Ponder the achievement of God. He doesn't condone our sin, nor does he compromise his standard. He doesn't ignore our rebellion, nor does he relax his demands. Rather than dismiss our sin, he assumes our sin and, incredibly, sentences himself. God's holiness is honored. Our sin is punished...and we are redeemed. God does what we cannot do so we can be what we dare not dream: perfect before God." - MAX LUCADO

Everybody eventually surrenders to something or someone. If not to God, you will surrender to the opinions or expectations of others, to money, to resentment, to fear, or to your own pride, lusts, or ego. You were designed to worship God- and if you fail to worship him, you will create other things (idols) to give your life to. You are free to choose what you surrender to, but you are not free from the consequences of that choice. If God is going to do his deepest work in you, you need to give it all to Him. Give God your past regrets, your present problems, your future ambitions, your fears, dreams, weaknesses, habits, hurts, and hang-ups. Put Jesus Christ in the driver’s seat of your life and take your hands off the steering wheel. Don’t be afraid, nothing under his control can ever be out of control. Mastered by Christ, you can handle anything. You will be like Paul: “ I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses inner strength into me, that is, I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency.” (Philippians 4:13) - Purpose Driven Life

Books:

I love any books by Max Lucado- He is an amazing man of God- To name a few... "In the Grip of Grace", "And the Angels were Silent", "The Greatest Moments in the Life of Christ", "Give it All to Him". Also "God Calling" by A.J. Russell- a recommended read for everybody.
When God Whispers Your Name-
There is more to your life than you ever thought. There is more to your story than what you have read. There is more to your song than what you have sung. A good author saves the best for last. A great composer keeps his finest for the finish. And God, the author of life and composer of hope, has done the same for you. The best is yet to be.
And so I urge you, don’t give up.
And so I plead, finish the journey.
And so I exhort, be there.
Be there when God whispers your name.
Pray all the time. If necessary, use words.
Sacrilege is to feel guilt for sins forgiven.
God forgets the past. Imitate him.
Greed I’ve often regretted. Generosity- never.
Never miss a chance to read a child a story.
Pursue forgiveness, not innocence.
Be doubly kind to the people who bring your food or park your car.
Don’t ask God to do what you want. Ask God to do what is right.
Nails didn’t hold God to a cross. Love did.
Know answered prayer when you see it, and don’t give up when you don’t.
We treat others as we perceive God is treating us.
Faith in the future begets power in the present.
No one is useless to God. No one.
Conflict is inevitable, but combat is optional.
You will never forgive anyone more than God has already forgiven you.
Succeed in what matters.
You’ll regret opening your mouth. You’ll rarely regret keeping it shut.
To see sin without grace is despair. To see grace without sin is arrogance. To see them in tandem is conversion.
Faith is the grit in the soul that puts the dare into dreams.
Never underestimate a gesture of affection.
As soon as you can, pay your debts. As long as you can, give the benefit of the doubt. As much as you can, give thanks. He’s already given us more than we deserve.

Heroes:

I have so many heroes...there is certain things in people that stand out and prove that they have been through so much and yet are still pushing onward. I am so inspired by Max Lucado, as I read his books my whole life changes. I know it is Christ working through him, but just the fact that he allows that and yearns for that puts him in my hero list. Mother Theresa is my hero, she has done things that I want to do and more. She inspires me to continue and push forward, no matter what the devil puts in my way. I want God to use me as he used her. My daddy is also my hero. He had to raise five kids on his own. He allowed God to help him through the most difficult times, and got through it all!
