About Me

My real name is
LIANE WEBB REZNICK.
I'm an actor...
I'm a humanitarian...
and I'm a human being.
Those are the basics, I suppose.
I'm also a Gemini, which means I'm usually juggling about twelve different tasks at once, and always interested in learning a zillion different new things, immediately if not sooner.
But I can be as steady and grounded as tempered steel and more patient than Job when I've committed my heart and soul to something in life,...
I stick with things and see them through to victory, and I don't give up until that happens. That's just who I am.
I love God, I love being able to say that openly, and I love to bring Light into people's lives whenever I can.
I love my handsome husband Andrew, and cherish him with all of my heart and soul.
I love children, and hope we can bring our own little Reznicks into this world someday. Until then, I'll keep on living our six "cat-children"...Jupiter, Bu, Harley, Harry, Winona, and Naegel.
As for personal goals in life, mine are pretty straightforward:
1. ...to make films that will touch and transform the lives of those who watch them.
2. ...to win an Oscar for my performance in a film, and to have my Mom able to be there with me at the Oscars.
3. ...to raise a happy and healthy family and still enjoy a successful acting career.
SO,...you wanna see a sample of my acting?
Here's a sneak-peek video clip from a soon-to-be released independent film directed by Juan Graham, called "The Case", in which I play a sort-of "villain in sheeps clothing"...the not-so-nice and definitely-ice-cold District Attorney Sanderson.
To watch the video clip, copy & paste this link into your browser:

So that's what I want to do with the rest of my life...ACT, and move people with it. And last but not least...long-term goal, is to use whatever fame and fortune I will have accrued from my career in acting to put some power behind humanitarian causes, and to help this world in whatever ways I can.
I've already gotten a start at working for those causes now, and you can too. Scroll down to read on..........
"IT'S NOT ALL ABOUT ME".............
Let's begin with a bit of Native American wisdom a drea friend once taught me:
The phrase 'MITAKUYE OYASIN' is Lakota Sioux for “All My Relations.” It is a Lakota prayer of oneness and harmony with all forms of life: other people, animals, birds, insects, trees, plants, and even rocks. It reminds us that we are all connected in Creation, and that WE ARE ALL RESPONSIBLE FOR THE WORLD IN WHICH WE LIVE..every single person who walks this earth is our brother or sister."
Taking that a step further,...let's add a bit of wisdom from Harriett Tubbman: "WHEN YOU LEARN, TEACH...WHEN YOU GET, GIVE,...AND AS FOR ME, I SHALL NOT BE MOVED."
What all of that wisdom combined says to me, is,....
IT'S NOT ALL ABOUT ME.
This life, is not all about what I can GET... I need to GIVE SOMETHING BACK, and to help my brothers and sisters all over this planet, because they are ALL my relations.
Here are some ways to do that right now:
1. U.N. World Healthcare Organization -

2. "Until There's A Cure"
AIDS Fundraiser -

3. "Self-Help Solutions To End Hunger" -

4. "The Betty Clooney Foundation"

My Interests

Riding motorcycles...(hence the name "ScooterGrrl") :) Getting tattoos or just sporting them... Driving race-cars... Working with swords... Learning the tango with Andrew... Meditating under the full moon... Learning the art of balance in life... Working with battered women's shelters... Skateboarding in my driveway and pretending I'm cool... Sitting on the beach and listening to the ocean... Tickling my cats and listening for soft kitty-giggles... Taking time each day to laugh... above: my handsome hubby, artist Andrew Reznick.

I'd like to meet:

The ghost of Richard Pryor...
the funniest man who ever lived.

... and, my kickass Gemini homegirl Angie Jolie.
She's a successful actress, loving mother, and caring activist, all at the same time.
That's what I'M talkin' about!!

Music:

I love to hear the steady hum of my 18-year old cat when he purrs in my lap - that's music from the heart.
As for tunes, I like everything - classic rock, hard rock, grunge, headbangers, punk, old R&B, vintage blues, opera, chant, world music, techno, house, u name it...I'll listen to it, at least once. Peter Murphy's a longtime fave, as is Peter Gabriel, Love and Rockets, Bauhaus. Ditto for Ramones, Sex Pistols, The Doors, and of course, the Beatles. And, there's a special place in my soul for the music of Marc Cohn.

Movies:

Gotta give props my friend Nic Cage... Whether in comic book or film, I think GHOST RIDER RULES, and you did an excellent job bringing Johnny Blaze to the silver screen!!! Way to GO, bro!!! :)
Now, as for my OTHER fave films...any film with Richard Pryor in it ALSO RULES, blessed be his sweet funny soul. Other comedy faves - any Monty Python or John Cleese film. I'll watch most film-genres, but, I've got a thing for the twisted and macabre on film...monster movie classics, cult classics like "Rocky Horror", "Hedwig and The Angry Inch", and "Eating Raoul".
I absolutely love classic Vampyre flicks, and my all-time Vamp fave is "Bram Stoker's Dracula".
Note the "Prince Vlad, a.k.a. Dracula" pic below...the actress-in-drag managed to fool a few actual drag queens at the West Hollywood Halloween Carnaval '04. Not bad, for a straight gal. LOL!
P.S.....OH yeah,...and, forgot to mention one fave film - The Big Lebowski....(the dude abides!)

Television:

Hmmm.........well,...I would like to be on television. Perhaps as a guest star on "Gray's Anatomy". Does that count?

Books:

I like to collect old books, especially old classic paperbacks that have charm and character...To Kill A Mockingbird remains my all-time favorite book, and Atticus Finch my all-time favorite character in a book. Other than that, I like philosophy, poetry, books from The Beat generation...i.e. Kerouac, Burroughs, Alan Watts, etc. Books about the spiritual world, the supernatural, and metaphysics have always intrigued me, and lately I've been studying about psychic cleansing, modern exorcism, and practical shamanism,...so I guess you could say my "best seller list" isn't for the average Joe or Jane. ;)
Right now I'm reading The Celestine Vision by James Redfield, and re-reading Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance by Robert Pirsig.
AND, last but not least, I am a lifelong comic book fan. My faves? Ghost Rider, Hellblazer, Supergirl, and Spiderman.

Heroes:

My two favorite heroes?...
One is my husband, who survived a near-fatal head injury in 2005, defeated the odds and came all the way back from a coma. He is a living miracle today.
The other is my mom, who suffered a massive stroke in the fall of 2006, and is successfully fighting her way back from the effects of it right now.
These two have taught me the true meaning of courage and determination.
Below: me and my mom, at the hospital, Oct. 2006.
And in general, my heroes are people who LIVE & LET LIVE...people who refuse to accept injustice to self or to others, people who step in to help others in need,...people who are shamans and healers. (and, of course, my soul's two co-pilots,... The Holy Prophet Moses and the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
"And do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them." (Ephesians 5:11)
