I am Dorothee and it's great that you are visiting me on MySpace!
I was born and grew up in Germany. For as long as I can remember I wanted to become a singer - and here I am!
Thoughout my childhood and youth I took classical piano, saxophon, and voice lessons, and started singing in various groups. Not long thereafter I discovered my love for Jazz, and decided to study jazz vocal performance at Conservatorium van Amsterdam, NL. During that time I also was a member of BuJazzO (Germany's Youth Jazz Orchestra) directed by Peter Herbolzheimer. I toured through Sweden, Hungaria, and South East Asia and took part in several radio and TV productions i. a. BR, SWR, Deutschland Radio Berlin, Deutschlandfunk. After a half year schoölarship at University of Miami, FL in fall 2002, I graduated in 2003. Following that I finished graduate school at Hochschule für Musik in Würzburg in 2004.
I played with a large number of fantastic musicians, that helped (and stil help) me a lot to find my spot in the world of music. Just to name a few:
Eliane Elias, Marc Johnson, Greg Gisbert, Will Lee, Martin Schrack, Claus Stötter, Peter Lehel, Michael Wollny, the New York Voices...
Since a couple of years I am living in Stuttgart, D, where I am working as a vocalist and as a voice teacher and choir conductor at go vocal, Schule für Popgesang
