"All Red Cables is the newly acquired band name of Andrew Spittle, who must surely be one of New Zealand's most prolific songwriters/recording artists. Under the previous moniker Dating Godot, Spittle recorded some 18 albums between 1996 and 2003. Stylistically, 'All Red Cables' is eclectically alternative, with an almost mesmeric use of acoustic and distorted electric guitars, unashamedly not bowing to mainstream trends. This is music as Spittle wants to make it, and you've got to respect him a bit for that. Recorded by Brendan White at Wards Music in Whangarei, the production is sparse, yet still manages a full sound. Spittle's background as an English teacher shows through, with an almost Salinger-esque stream-of-consciousness style of lyricism"-NZ Musician Magazine
