My new mantra: What would Gandhi do?
I'm tired of updating my top 5 list every month. So, for now I will just list some of my all time favorite music and current obsessions in no particular order. Arctic Monkeys, The Beatles, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Modest Mouse, The Temptations, Snow Patrol, Elton John, Ryan Adams, Muse, Janis Joplin, Depeche Mode, Sufjan Stevens, Counting Crows, Erasure, Bright Eyes, Liz Phair, Marvin Gaye, Neil Young, Death Cab for Cutie, Kasabian, My Morning Jacket, New Order, The Strokes, Kings of Leon, James Taylor, Postal Service, Belle and Sebastian, Michael Jackson, The Shins, Joni Mitchell, Bruce Springsteen, AC/DC, Kanye West, Dashboard Confessional, Pixies (not THE Pixies...ha ha!), old school Snoop and Dr. Dre, Prince, Crosby, Stills and Nash (and Young), The Doors, Kathleen Edwards.
I watch a lot of educational tv. My favorite channels are TLC, Discovery Health, Animal Planet, PBS (especially Frontline and American Experience) and the History Channel. Yes, I am a dork. However, I do try to balance out the dorkiness by watching Danicing With the Stars. I will never stop watching re-runs of Sex and the City or Friends. Some of my other faves include: Grey's Anatomy, Sopranos, Freaks & Geeks, Ugly Betty, Nip/Tuck, Law and Order: SVU, Scrubs, and CSI.
Favorite books of all time: Catcher in the Rye, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Bluest Eye, Secret Lives of Bees. Favorite recent reads: A Fine Balance, The Kite Runner, Middlesex, Uncle Tom's Cabin, Good in Bed. Currently reading: a Scottish romance novel that Sarah gave me.
Anyone who has made a difference in the world. Why are people obsessed with money? And why do people not care about each other??
