I spend a lot of time watching sports, reading, playing video games, excercising, and fooling around with my guitar. Wait a minute, that was two years ago. Scratch the part about exercising and playing guitar. Don't do those as much any more. I've adopted the local pro teams here in Tampa Bay as my favorites. I follow the Devil Rays heavily (to my detriment), the Buccaneers, and Tampa Bay Lightning. I'm still a huge U of Alabama football fan (despite the Nick Saban hiring) from my days growing up there, but I go to a few University of South Florida football games every year. I read National Geographic cover to cover every month and mix in a book most months from the library. I also spend too much time playing the same couple of games over and over again on my PS2 (EA NCAA football and Guitar Hero). I try to counter my beer drinking and junk food eating by running a few miles every week and playing softball once a week. My other hobby is music. My dad is a great guitar player and has shared a few guitars with me. I've never learned a whole song, but I like just improving and making up simple riffs and chord sequences. By the way, check out my dad's music at www.tomburch.net.
John Gruden, so I could teach him how to run an offense.

Next to Dean Wormer's Double Secret probation speech I think this one by Anthony Anderson is now my favorite comedy monologue ever. Check it out.I used to have a rule that went like this: I don't want to see a movie if there is an explosion, a guy gets pistol whipped and isn't hurt, a guy get's kicked in the head more than once, or someone yells, "Noooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!" I've relaxed my criteria a bit and I can suspend disbelief enough to appreciate action flicks and slasher films for what they are now. However, I still appreciate films with clever stories. Some of my recent favorites are "Matchpoint", "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind", and "Crash". Other faves are "Requiem for a Dream", "Fight Club", "Memento", "Mulholland Drive" and "Shawshank Redemption".
Sports mostly, but also "Amazing Race" and "South Park." I like "My Name is Earl", "The Office", and "Rick Steve's Europe", but I don't have time to watch them. I miss "Seinfeld" and "Beavis and Butthead".
"Life of Pi" by Yann Martel "Illusions" by Richard Bach "The Winter of Our Discontent," "The Moon is Down," "Cannery Row," and a lot of other stuff by Steinbeck
This will sound cliche, but Martin Luther King is the first that comes to mind. Can you believe he was only 39 when he was killed? Damn, I'm only 3 years younger than that and I haven't done crap. Is there anyone in America today with not only the courage to stand up for what's right, but the competence and charisma to actually accomplish change? If there is, I would like to hear from him or her before it's too late. I also look up to that Chinese guy who faced off with the tank at Tienemen Square. His name might be Wang Weilin, but nobody really knows who he is or what happened to him. .. width="425" height="350">.. ..>
