party organizers - artistic and cultural promoters.Funk the System is a group that attempts to spread musical artistic culture through live visual and theatrical graphic performances, in which visual and theatrical graphics are combined to produce a creative mix.The aim of Funk the System is to promote the artists who take part in and create partnerships with a creative Italian and international view.At the heart of the Milanese underground music and artistic scene, Funk the System inserts itself with an ambitious objective: to fuse two spirits, music with graphic and visual arts.It is no coincidence that the project was initially created by two Visual artists (Studio 2012) and two DJs (Narco and Piovrasound); now connected by event organizations, including two more elements, Paolo “Lillo†Graziosi and Simo, the active organizers and originators of many of the group’s projects.Between expositions, DJ sets, VJ sets, performances and parties, group members may be found – either together or individually – at the following locations: Triennale, Hype gallery, Foundry gallery (London), Leoncavallo, Magzzini generali,Tunnel, Bitte, Pergola, Rehab gallery, Cox18, De Sade, Atomic Bar, Gasoline Club, street parades (Milan and Bologna), and on the radio (radiopoplare).The 2007-2008 season has began with a double-duty: the origination and realization of electronic art events, and the cultural promotion of emergent contemporary artistic truths.The result of such effort is an unconventional proposal, contaminated and hardened by the promotion of the expressive talent in the most variable form and realized in the monthly appointment at the emerging art bar "FREAK bar", in which "Funk the system" organize the artistic planning with exhibitions of well known urban artists;also, we 've developed an innovative and very successful "party formula": every 4/5 weeks we throw a huge party, in a warehouse style locations, that's at the same time time cheap (10 euro admittance), stylish (quality electronic music and fine visual installations) and alcohol fuelled (OPEN BAR!).
