About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4After a long and somewhat lost (due to a discus to the head incident) childhood, I graduated from a high school in New Mexico. During my last year of high school I met my (soon to be) wife. After High School I tried to get some college done, mainly for my family, but I couldn't get my attitude in the right place for it. So I did what any body in my position would do: Move and work at Disney World! I went there the summer of '96, and my (soon to be) wife would join me a few months later. I stayed there for 3 years (much to the happiness of my sister!!), during which I was married and had my son. In 1999 I moved back to NM to continue, this time with more passion, college. I recently graduated with a BA in Theatre Arts, from New Mexico State University, a school which I will not name again! I met really awesome teachers and friends there, and then, my wife decided it was time to get her PhD. So we packed up and moved to North Carolina! And now, after close to a year of hell, disguist, dissapointment, thoughts of sucide, loneliness, depression, sickness, and all together being over everything, Alaine and I are finally moving away. Where do you ask? To Pensacola, FL, to live with her parents for a bit. I hope for a short time, as this is not the stop that I wanted to make, but it gets me the HELL out of NC, and that alone is worth the price (or is it?). Oh well. At this point I don't hold much hope for the future, figuring that things will get worse (after all we are moving to Pensacola during the hurricane season!) and there a fewer jobs there then they are here. Do I hear TARGET calling my name again? Must be!

You're The Moon!
You frequently take small steps, but you think very highly of each and every one of them. This aloof attitude doesn't begin to reflect how high and mighty you actually are, though you are able to reflect light onto others when it seems appropriate. Whether the glass is half full, half empty, waxing pedantic, or even crescent-shaped is something ever-changing in your perspective. These mood swings at least follow a consistent cycle, one that makes others believe you have mystical powers. Ultimately, your head is always in the clouds and you just can't seem to stay grounded.

My Interests

I love watching movies (Big budget movies are my real love--sorry independent movie lovers), reading graphic novels, writing plays, and working on theatre productions in one capacity or another!

I'd like to meet:

I haven't spent many nights on this question, but I know that there are several names that I can list off, for sure:Eddie Izzard! He is a master of funny, and an inspiration to myself to make me be funnier! Did that make sense?Joss Whedon! Just so I can get some of that great writing mojo that he has!! So that I may use it for my own (insert evil laugh here!!!!!!)Weird Al! Yes, the man is funny and a genius! Not to mention that I saw him in concert once and he was a great showman! I am so excited that he has a new album coming out!The Cast of Lost! Give me answers dammit!!That guy over there! No, not there! There! There! Next to him! Right there! Look! Do this! You watching? Yes. Ok! Turn your head like this, and, watch me first, and do this! Dammit! No not like that! Oh never mind, he's gone anyways! Thanks a lot!

Music:

I am a film score lover! I can sit down and listen to hours and hours of music and not get bored! Some of my favs are JOHN WILLIAMS (although, as of late he has begun sucking :( ), DANNY ELFMAN (Charlie was pure genius), HOWARD SHORE (LOTR's was nothing short of amazing, but I still am waiting for an extended set Howard. When?), some JAMES HORNER (only not in recent years), JERRY GOLDSMITH (a great man who did some great things before he left us recently), and a few others. When I am not listening to scores, I find myself listening to THE KILLERS! In recent years I have become much more bitter towards music. I hate having to by a full album for one good song, and being stuck with 14 or so songs that I might, in a far distant future, start liking. My solution to this: GREATEST HITS! I love that I can get the songs that I like, and they make up the album. Maybe I should give more music more of a chance, but I am too stuck in my ways, and that's not going away!

Movies:

I cannot stress this enough: GO RENT SERENITY NOW!! It is an awesome Sci-fi movie with loads of great dialogue and a great story to boot!! I just saw V for Vendetta and what an AWESOME movie! Go see it, please!!! Lord of the Rings, Star Wars (orginal trilogy much more than new), The Thing (1982), Back to the Future series, Hellboy, Superman, Batman (1989, Returns, some of Forever, and Begins), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, Toy Story 1 & 2, Treasure Planet, Spiderman 1 & 2 and a lot of other Comic Book Movies. I recently rented Howl's Moving Castle and it was wonderful!!!! And also Mirror Mask!! If you can get past any bias you may have regarding Anime I highly recommend anything by Hayao Miyazaki! He does some absolutely beautiful work and me and my family love what we have seen! Here's a list of things that I can remember: Howl's Moving Castle, Sprited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service, My Neibour Totoro, and my personal favorite: Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind!

Television:

My shows are both new and old. Some are still one, others have passed on. Still, if I like a show enough to buy the DVD later, you know you've got something. I am not one for Sitcoms, finding them less and less tolerable as time goes on. Maybe I could change that, one day! Firefly, Wonderfalls, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, CSI (Both the orginal and some of Miami), The Simpsons, Futurama, Family Guy, Battlestar Galatica (Both series, but the new one is awesome!!), Grey's Anatomy, Newsradio, Scrubs, Heroes, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (This is the first show that makes me want to watch it and never, ever stop! It is amazing, and I wish I could get that type of genius to write such amazing stuff!!) just to name a fewI must also mention that I really hate most Reality TV. Reality TV has just ruined TV for me. In fact, I almost never watch TV anymore, preferring to get my favorite shows on DVD, and watch them all at one time.

Books:

After Harry Potter, I have been mostly sticking with Graphic Novels. I have been finding myself in love with some of the works of Alan Moore, Frank Miller, and Mike Mignola. I even, recently, just picked up the old Ticks that I have laying around and read them. I love the humour in those things, they make me very happy. I am also hopelessly addicted to comics in general, and I have way too many right now to deal with. I think that comic books are a great art, but very disrespected!!! Oh well!!
