the mars volta,my favourite band!Friends*some interesting people*bands*artists „Portraits" ************ My diploma work recapitulates my notions, efforts and art expressions which I’ve experienced during my studies on the Academy of Fine Arts. In contradistinction to the past years, here I moved from more objective expressions about the matters in the world or in my country, to more personal direction, to the human being, its substance and its change. It is an attempt to grasp the character features, the thinking, the inner processes of my generation, men and women around their thirty’s. But I don’t make a classical portrait of the external features of the men. I am trying in a psychological way to comprehend the inner world of the persons I am interested in, on the base of a documentary video record. The foundation of the painting are twelve questions and their responds, which are digitally written on a video camera, then they are worked up into sketches and after a consultation with the asked person, who chooses which from the sketches is closest to him/her, arises his/her inner image. The final resemblance of the work consists of 14 paintings and an audio record to each of them. It is of the same importance the visual aesthetic experience as the whole dialogues connected with the works, to be better achieved the process of the realization, the sense of each painting and the connection between the painting and the conversation. It is up to each observer to find the associations, to transform and to create other possibilities of interpretation. The project is based on the communication and interaction with the audience.
