About Me

Pop/punk that will knock your socks off! Barbee Killed Kenn is one of San Francisco's most legendary outrageous female fronted band who captivated audiences all over California during their time together 1999-2002. In the genre of Blink 182, No Doubt, Green Day, the Ramones, and so on, Barbee Killed Kenn serves it up with a twist of glitz and a lot of attitude!
During its reign, BKK was hailed as not simply the best mostly-girl band aroundbut, amongst the best bands in the Bay Area (Tony Hicks, East Bay Express) and was further confirmed by BKKs title as Best Punk Band 2000, as publicly voted through S.F. Weekly. With BKK was featured on LIVE 105 and 92 KSJO, the Bay Areas top commercial rock radio stations. BKK has played all over the Pacific region, including Nadines Wild Weekend, Women in Rock series, Modesto X Festival, Hayward Zucchini Festival and top rock clubs in San Francisco including The Bottom of the Hill, Pound S.F., and the late Paradise Lounge. BKK has shared the stage with Kevin Cadogan (ex-Third Eye Blind) and the renowned Dee Dee Ramone. BKK sold over 1,000 copies of its self-titled demo CD, which includes a song featured on Beth Lapides Uncabaret The Un and Only comedy compilation, featuring comedians such as Andy Dick and Julia Sweeney. The bands first full length, Choad Rage, rounded positive reviews from S.F. Weekly and Zero Magazine, earned them a spot on the Vans Warped Tour in San Francisco, and placed them as LIVE 105 top contender to open the 2002 California Music Awards.
The members of BKK are currently great friends and are active with new musical projects.
