Formed in the early 1990's, this all female power rock band toured all over the San Francisco Bay Area where they opened for such acts as WHITE ZOMBIE and WARRANT. These talented ladies made a few demos including Devilish Ways, Shut up and Buy it, and contributed their talents to the CD Keeping Hope Alive for Childquest Int. KEEPING HOPE ALIVE CD where they sang and played on the all star jam and also contributed the song Johnny Come Home.
The band first consisted of DANA Knight Lead Vocalist, ATHENA MARIE (Byrne) on Bass and backing vocals, KRIS FONG on lead guitar and backing vocal, SHAWNA (Bevers) BEAR on rhythm guitar and backing vocals and GINA MONTEL on drums and backing vocals.
After several years together, Shawna Bear had to leave due to painful tendonitis in her wrist. Soon after, GINA MONTEL unfortunately left the band to move on to other musical interests. Then the band added ANDREW TOKUDA on guitar and a new drummer named T.J. Not long after, Kris and Andrew left to start their own band called MindGames. Athena and Dana kept the band together and added Jeff Lockwood as guitarist/songwriter, and Paul Williams on drums. After about a year, Dana sadly left the band in the hopes of starting a family while Athena and Jeff continued, changing the band name to Athena. Jeff then eventually left the band and started his family. Athena perservered and went on to start the power pop/punk band Barbee Killed Kenn where they enjoyed tremendous success!
DANA KNIGHT has been teaching herself guitar over the years and has written several songs. She is busy raising her 2 young children (to be ROCK STARS!) and has won several singing competitions. She is working on her debut CD to be released in summer 2008. DANA's MUSIC SITE
ATHENA MARIE (Byrne) lives near Hollywood and currently performs at comedy clubs, on TV, and still writes those awesome songs. She currently released her debut CD ARE YOU LISTENING? She has one of her songs in the show Friday Night Lights and has won some awards for her songwriting.
Kris Fong is now a photographer and runs PIXEL SOUND MEDIA a design/sound studio.
Shawna Bear is a teen counselor and lives with her family in Arizona where she helps teens overcome the addiction of meth.
Gina May is giving drum lessons and is in a band called SEAQUENCER and her main web site here GINA's WEB SITE
