Poofy Marshmallow Coats

About Me

Fall and winter are my two favorite seasons. During fall and winter, people tend to wear scarves and mittens, both of which I find charming.

My Interests

The sun.
Tennis.
Italian.
Smoothies, especially those from Protein Planet.
My new apartment
...and my roomates.
High speed internet, because I'm always connected.
As of late, ANTM.
France and French children.
Overheardinnewyork.com
...and with that, useless and funny sites that make fun of people, places or things.
Sleeping in whenever possible.
Happy music.
Sad music.
Black shoes
Faxing, correlating and processing.
Singing.
My friends
College and learning new things.
Speech and hearing sciences.
Cuddling
My dogs (I miss them!)
Chocolate, good chocolate.

Hilarious websites I like:
www.nataliedee.com
www.marriedtothesea.com
www.overheardinnewyork.com
www.cuteoverload.com

I'd like to meet:

People that appreciate the myrtleberry, Spice World and KC.

Music:

I rarely go to shows and haven't heard any new bands in the past year that I've liked. That's why I like a lot of older-ish bands. ...and that's also why I'm a nerd.
The Police
The Decemberists
Bic Runga
The Beatles (mostly the White Album)
Queen
Weezer
Johnny Cash
Willie Nelson
The Sounds
Rufus Wainright
Hot Hot Heat
Jose Feliciano
Ray Charles
Frou Frou
Some electronica-ish stuff.

Movies:

Film is a beautiful thing, when done well.

Donnie Darko
Brokeback Mountain
Kill Bill(s)
Cold Mountain
Walk the Line
Chicago
Garden State
Closer
The Jacket
The Pianist
The Goonies
...I generally enjoy most non-action films.

Television:

Six Feet Under is probably the best show of time. I've seen every episode at least twice and it still keeps me right there on the edge.

Some other personal favs are:
The Sopranos
ANTM
...and most ridiculous reality shows.

But above all...Yo MAMMA!

Books:

They're nice. Especially ones with leather covers and gold etchings. I read textbooks...anything audiology or sound technology related = a fun time.

Heroes:

My dad.
He's probably the best person I know.

Ted Nugent. The Nuge.
Natalie Dee.
Anyone who can make a living doing what they love.

My Blog

Life-ness and something you actually want to see.

And so it seems, with the passing of another quarter and the (sort of) beginning of a new season, that many things are changing as they do quite regularly. Another three classes finished, another set...

The party at the 50th and Latona house was pretty rockin'.  Silly pictures insued. I'll make this blog not lazy and messy when I've got some time, so stop complaining....

Valentine's Day: The good, the bad, and the sexy.

I dread Valentine's Day for two reasons: 1.  It seems that no matter where I work we get swamped during this disgusting day of marketed affection. 2. I'm always hella single and people are always...

Attack of the eight-legged kind...

Anyone who has talked to me recently should be well aware of the spider situation in my new apartment.  Olivier so bravely killed the biggest ones yet...at least that's what I thought until ...
