Critical Intent is an all new band emerging from the East side of the Cincinnati area. Officially formed October 9, 2007 from former members of other local bands. The ideas of the project began in March 2006. while singer William Cole (William The Bastard) was still engaged in other bands. Then in April of 2007 William The Bastard Parted ways with his previous bands, bringing with him A song he composed called Pshyciatrix. He then hooked up with local drummer Brandon Osborn [Sponge] who had also composed some inspiring riffs. For A time the pair jammed with Bassist Vic Spurlock who helped write the music for the song SuperLiar. Then in the summer of 2007 William The Bastard & Sponge Joined Forces with Guitarist Daniel Vogelgesang. Within A short amount of time Lead Guitarist John Marshall came to jam with the other members. By the fall of 07 Bassist Nick Milton Came to audition & completed the line up for the band. After a brief time on October 9th 2007 the band chose the name Critical Intent. The bands 4 song demo release came out October 12th 2007. The band can be described as Metal with Hard Rock influences with dabs of Grunge, and Punk mixed in. The music is energetic and driving at times, with various musical breaks, with quick drum work, wild leads, and insane wicked vocals. The band is now working on material which will appear on the their debut CD due out for release by summer's end 2008. The Songs on the 4 song Critical Intent demo [2007] will also be included in the compilation. Critical Intent Had it's debut show on Oct. 27 2007 at Ozzy's on Grand Ave. in MiddleTown Ohio. The band members had A blast & liked playing At Ozzy's. The people who have heard Critical Intent Play live say their material from song to song seems more diverse than many other regional act's they have heard in the area. Many of their fans are already developing their favorites, & often request them. By & large the song content has A classic Metal influence Sometimes spiced by elements of Grunge & Thrash. Critical Intent will be playing out again by this Summer of 2008, & looks forward to it. They will be Promoting their first CD, and will be appearing with other talented local act's.
