Somewhere between Eminem, Redman, and Method Mans animated yet comedic fun sound and M.O.P and Onyxs gritty live energy, hard hitting, vulgar, spit in your face, slap your mom vibe lies Diggs & Dox the Dynamic Duo from Raleigh N.C, not only have they dominantly but they have amazingly developed a sound that upholds the torch of what Hardcore Music should be portrayed as in its best form for commercialism.The group members Diggs and Dox first met at a Monday night event held in Chapel Hill called the Local 506 Club, where MC's and Producers would show off their talents, appreciating the qualities that each individual held the guys formed an instant friendship and pledged in some way they would help each others careers. Diggs & Dox are not only MCs, but what the industry would like to call a franchise or comity due too their ability to not only produce their own tracks, but some of the most influential/ inspiring tracks of our generation.Both being born natives of Newark, NJ serves as a frontline for Raleighs hip-hop power movement, and has played an enormous role in forming groups such as Wreckage, the Grass Roots, and Murksville USA a 7 member crew of first-rate MCs and Producers of which Diggs and Dox is still apart of. While the duo maintained some form of alliance through various side projects and aborted solo deals it wasnt until, September 2003 that they decided to come together as a official group, struggling to find a name that would fit their new decision, they in result found it best to be called Diggs & DoxInfluenced by a close friend, who believed even before there was a group, that chemistry existed we recorded our first joint which was called Rush says Dox, referring to a song that talks about aiming to stampede any being our obstacle that would come in their path of trying to make it not only in the streets, but in this music industry. After replaying this track on a constant basis for a period of at least 2 weeks straight, it was official we needed to make an album.With thanks to that close friend for his opinion and ideas, the decision to stay a group and do more recordings had become one of the smartest moves in both of their careers. Within the third or fourth week prior to the recording of Rush the duo began do shows all over from NC to NJ, already having a fan base from their own individual talents, it was not a surprise they would probably be even greater together.So after what could be called isolation and change of residency from NC back to NJ the duo has gathered enough songs to grab the attention of local music lovers, radio DJs and club promoters anywhere. The group frequently receives spins on various internet radio stations and have headlined local venues and opened for national acts such as Cuban Links, Young Bloods, Lil Jon & the East Side Boys, Dead Prez, Black Moon and even Jay-Z. It is believed that with the right marketing plan and backing from investors Diggs & Dox could be hip- hop of tomorrow easily.
