About Me

I'm typically rather quiet until I get to know a person. Even then, I still tend to be a little quiet. I'm fairly easy to get along with, and don't like to cause conflict (though, if pushed, I will certainly defend myself, my beliefs, etc.). I just don't see the point in fighting needlessly. Everyone has differences in philosophy about pretty much everything...I try to accept that and view things in an objective manner.
I enjoy learning, especially about computers, science (primarily physics), mathematics and engineering (primarily electronics). I find alot of the shows on the Discovery channel, TLC, etc. to be boring, as they don't really give a proper mathematical background on the subjects (but, given the short time span of a single television show, that's to be expected). I am a few credits short of a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering, and hope to finish it next year. I would love to be able to take further classes after that and obtain degrees in physics and mathematics. In case you haven't figured it out by now...I'm a bit of a geek.
I'm open minded about social and political issues, but I think it's completely resonable to expect a population to have a certain amount of self discipline and willingness to help their city/state/nation before themselves.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I would like to meet the West Memphis 3, and apologize to them for doing what many people did and assuming the police had done their job. At the time I bought the line that the authority figures around me had spoon fed to me--people who wear all black are evil, rock music is a tool of the devil, if you practice Wicca you worship Satan, etc. After time I began to think for myself. I rejected these assumptions, and embraced the dress and music of the people I had once been taught to hate. It became clear that justice was not served and the wrong people were paying for such a horrible crime. To quote William Blackstone, it would be "better that ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer." Seriously, Arkansas...WTF?

And just to completely change direction... Liberate Tennessee . Because our liquor, wine and beer sales laws are indeed that stupid.

I actually have met these people, and hopefully they will grace this city again with their presence...
