Our Mission:
The purpose of Pole Star Invitational 2008 is to
create a refreshing new outlook on the art of pole
dancing, one that opens the eyes and mind of everyone
and anyone who experiences it. There is so much
skill, strength and creativity ivolved with pole
dancing, more than one might imagine.
This event will change any negative
persepectives on this craft and instead will be
respected for it's difficulty and uniqueness. The
wonderful part of pole dancing is what it allows for
the dancer, such things as sexual self-expression and
at the same time a way to show off their strength and
balance.
Every pole dancer is different because each body
is shaped differently and therefore adheres to and
slinks around the pole in their own unique way. It
celebrates all shapes, sizes, heights and even
flexibility. In addition , there are many aspects of
dance that a pole dancer must master, including
fluidity, transitions from one movement to the next,
which could be from floor to pole, one held trick to
another, even pole to ceiling! These particular
dancers must also have poise, grace, great, core
strength and balance.
This is a time for pole dancing to be revered
for it's intensity and style. Pole Star Invitational
2008 will bring forth the long overdue credit and
admiration this type of dance deserves. The idea is
to inspire other women to perfect their pole dancing
skills, so they can have the spot light shine on them
for a day or for years to come. We hope to motivate
women all over the country to improve their pole
dancing skills to be a part of Pole Star Invitational
in the future.
This is the beginning of a beautiful
beginning, one that will change pole dancing forever.
