About Me

Bobi Peru Polish musician and composer. With Janusz Klonowski he was the founder of the Novo Del Arte - new wave band, who had debut in 1985 at Piotr Kaczkowski show "Minimaks" on Polish National Radio - the famous channel "Trojka". In the same year Novo Del Arte played a concert at the first Festival of Freaky Music in Katowice. Next he co-founded the avant-garde formation “Label” together with Tomasz Jaworski "Kciuk" and Slawek Slocinski (former drummer of " Brygada Kryzys" and "Madame"). In 1990 he joined the Warsaw band " Zgoda" with whom in the past among others Kayah Milo Kourtis and Piotr Nalepa had cooperated. In 1992 the band published the album "Zgoda" from which song "Living Desire" was made into a video by Polish National TVP2, which also showed the memorable concert of the no longer existant Fugazi club. Bobi Peru was also a precursor of Polish Rap, Hip-Hop and R&B culture. In '93 he organized and ran the first Rap events in Riviera Remont club, which were called " International Funky Feeling" together with the Afro-American rappers Paul Jackson from New York, Pfeel from Boston and DJ Perez combined with concerts of legendary "Bad Brains" among others. In 1999 he started a cooperation with absolutely the best independent Polish radio station "Radiostacja", at the beginning he run "Black List" of R&B – Soul music and then "Afrobeatz" in which he mixed life 2 Step and House music.The programme hosted: DJ Stix, DJ Bad Boy Bill, DJ Cat Master J, DJ Ian Pooley, DJ Casino and Hwa Young, DJ Stewart Rowell and DJs from Prague (Czech Republic), Netherlands or artists connected with the famous label "Future Funk”. Later on the same “Radiostacja" he appeared in the programme “Housex”, where he was helped by invited guests like: Miki from Hungary, Stereofreund from Germany, Dr. Gravity from the USA. In 2004 he worked for “Jazz Radio” where he drive two of his own programmes " Soul 2 Soul" and "Poetry of Jazz". At present he is involved in music production at his own studio "SoulCraft Records" in which the PROJEKT1 album was recording together with poet Grzegorz Wroblewski among others.
