I, a development sector professional, have experience and expertise in managing, developing, implementing and evaluating development projects. I am doing my MA in Economics and hold a graduation degree in commerce I have successfully completed ASPBAE Basic Leadership Development Course, held at Indonesia besides completing two four week e-courses, offered by Global Youth Coalition on HIV/AIDS (GYCA) USA, in Project Management and Grants Writing (Project Proposal Writing) and Fundraising. I am skilled and experienced in networking with partner organization and government officials, team building, training of primary teachers, team management, crisis management, events management and financial management. I can write persuasive project proposals and concept notes. I have a natural flare in designing, developing and writing publications of all sorts i.e. brochures, professional reports, pamphlets/flyers etc. I am a trainer in Adult Literacy, English, Health and Hygiene Education for children and adults and Community Mobilization. I am currently working as Program Officer, Literacy, Governance and Political Participation with Cavish Development Foundation, a not-for-profit and non-governmental organization. Before that I worked with Indus Resource Centre in different capacities. With Indus Resource Center one of my especial projects was using interactive theater for Health Education wherein 30 performances were organized in schools and villages on Health and Hygiene. Along with the theater team, I designed and developed the stories and scripts for the theaters; project was supported by World Education Inc. USA. My entrance, as Community Mobilizer, to development sector was an incident, which provided me the opportunity to learn development in rural and urban perspectives. Based upon my efficient and effective performance, I was promoted to the post of Project Assistant and this was followed by a subsequent promotion to the post of Project Officer – Literacy Projects. During this period, in partnership with District Government Khairpur, I implemented three literacy projects. I helped Program Officer Education Programs IRC in initiating Health Education Program in collaboration with District Government Khairpur for Children in Community Supported Schools and 8 government schools adopted by IRC. Besides, I managed a team of almost 250 personnel belonging to diversified cultural and ethnic backgrounds. I designed, implemented and managed literacy projects run in 15 union councils of district Khairpur, Sindh, with support from USAID/ESRA. Through these projects, over 7500 non-literate parents were made literate. Later on, I was retained in the organization as Events Manager and was given the responsibility of coordinating and managing work related to organization of Taleemi Mela (Educational Festivals) which targeted for providing students of both government and private schools enabling environment where they could utilize and improve their potential through healthy extra and co curricular activities. The festivals were organized in partnership with District Education Department.
