ONE FINE DAY - Goodbye Reality [Videoclip]
..
Driven by undying passion and commitment to great melodies, punkrock, emo and metal, ONE FINE DAY have created a second album which leaves the listener in no doubt whatsoever that they have risen up to fight against the mind-numbing boredom of a nine to five existence, with their guitars in hand and plan to take their audience with them. However ONE FINE DAY’s strategy on DAMN RIGHT is not just about wall to wall smash hits, at the same time they vary the dynamics of the 12 song album with calm and fragile moments which authentically mirror the ups and downs of everyday life. Instead of whinging, the five lads from Hamburg stand up even in the face of adversity to produce music which reflects their faith that good times are just around the corner. ONE FINE DAY do not fear the great rock gesture and aren’t shy of showing a large slice of pop-appeal. Consequently DAMN RIGHT is a diversified blend: straight and fast rock-songs like the fantastic title track "Damn Right" and "burn (a fire within)", a duet with H-Blockx-Singer Henning Wehland, line up beside down tempo-tracks like "My Revolution" or ballad "Fading Gray" - where Danish singer Anne Kalstrup (Pinboys) assists the band with her amazing vocals - and even mosh-pit compatible burners like "Goodbye Reality" or the entertaining Cindy-Lauper-Cover "She Bop". The band’s studio collaboration with Jan-Dirk Poggemann (Donots) gives the album the perfect measure of a full but not too polished sound and provides the soon-to-be-addicted listener with an awesome rock-experience. ONE FINE DAY first caught the attention - and the airplay - of the North German Delta Radio team in 2003 with the outstanding nature of their demo tapes. The judges of the renowned Germany-wide John Lennon Talent Awards 2003 were equally impressed and picked the band out from 1600 competitors to be among the top five groups taking part. Just a short time later ONE FINE DAY was signed by Rockhit Records and since their 2004 debut-album "Faster Than The World", singer Marten Pulmer, guitarists Hendrik Burkhard and Roman Rossbach, bass player Marco Koehrsen and drummer Erik-Mac Essig have been making people prick up their ears to hear ONE FINE DAY. In the process they have won a big fan-base by rocking the country with their great live performances full of spirit and passion, including playing many support shows and tours e.g. with My Chemical Romance, Simple Plan, H-BlockX, Fall Out Boy, Bloodhound Gang or Zebrahead plus big German festivals like Rock am Ring, Rock im Park and Hurricane Festival. With the release of the next album (mid 2008) the band will take the next step ... for sure!
