After being born on dec 2nd, 1971 I soon discovered, that I didn´t exactly know what I wanted. So I made it a habit and started to try to live with that treat.
However I tried all kinds of things and finally music was the one love that brought my lack of focussing on one thing to an end.
After several years of playing in local bands in my hometown Muenster, Germany, I founded the H-Blockx along with Gudze, Mason and Tim in 1990. A year later my best friend Dave joined the band and gave it the whole picture.
Throught the genius eyes of Peter Meysel and George Glueck H-Blockx released their first single "rising high" in 1993 and the album "time to move" just a year later.
By now the band has had several changes in line up and performed on many of the big stages worldwide, such as Rock am Ring, Germany; Roskilde Denmark; Moscow Music Festival, Dr. Music, Spain; Vans Warped Tour Europe, USA, Canada...
We sold a fair amount of albums worldwide and proudly wrote and performed the soundtrack for Peter Thorwart´s cult movie "BANGBOOMBANG"
After working on our latest piece of music for over three years the new album is only a matter of days. We are planning on performing on numerous festivals and tour europe in fall.
Besides H-Blockx I ran into the very inspiring person of Jan Loechel, who supported my effort to become a sonwriter and showed me almost everything about singing that I know to this day.
Besides him I am the second and founding member of "Les Sauvignons". A performing Songwriterteam that supported, among others "Pohlmann" to launch a career in German music business.
With my partner Tim "Tinte" Humpe I founded the music agency "BLX-Music & Entertainment GmbH" about seven years ago. Along with the wonderful Babsi and Mitch we run offices in M..nster and Berlin to support artists and to create new talents and service everybody with music and knowledge that thinks we are worth it.
In the beginning of 2007 I joined the wonderful crew of the "S..hne Mannheims". For a full 30 days we spent a great time on the roads of Europe and yet there is much more to come that I´m looking forward to in the future.
Now it´s showtime...
