Opus Tenebrae's celula mater arises from the juction
of ideas and musical affinities of Opus (Vocal) and Alex Riesco (Drumms)in
a Jam Session on autumn in 2001. Valdomiro (Guitar) arises on the following
and the compositions accelerates. In 2002, some bass and guitar players
succeeded in the line-up, so that in October, in the same year, Christian
Bacci assumed the bass and started to take part in the compositions.In May 2003, Mirela(lyric singer) is invited to join the band, that already
has its musical direction decided. The band starts to make its first shows,
and the public's answer suprises the own memebers, once the music produced
is not very easy to nominate. Melodic and also agressive music appreciators
receives the band's presentations with enthusiam, generating the necessary
energy for the work's continuation. Internal problems provoques Valdomiro's
leaving of the band. Mirela, the lyric vocal also leaves. During an arduous
trajectory, trials of adding violin and keyboards are made, always aiming
some musical impprovement. The guitar player Sandro also leaves Opus, and
at the beginning of 2007, the band goes through a huge reformulation with
the entries of the guitar players Ricardo, and on the following, Lomax.
A big "found" of Opus (Vocal) appears - that invites Marcelo Soutullo
to insert the Galician Bag Pipe's exotic sound, reinforcing Opus Tenebrae's
celtic, medieval and mystic influences even more. The band has only done one
presentation with this formation, and on the following, with only one guitar
player. In May of 2008, the band starts to count on the new talent, Décio
Andolini, imputing, again, two guitar players to the front os Opus Tenebrae.
The band's actual formation counts on with: Opus (Vocals), Alex Riesco
(Drumms/Vocals), Christian Bacci (Bass), Rudolph Lomax (Guitar), Décio
Andolini(Guitar) and Marcelo Soutullo (Galician Bag Pipe).Opus Tenebrae initiated the year of 2008 with the "Profanação Sangrenta"
concert,in its native city, already introducing its new compositions. Then
launched the MCD "I", recorded on winter on 2007, and put, definitively,
its Homepage on the net, at public's disposal.
