A Day In The Life

Sick to death of all the messin' about!!

About Me

A Day In The Life are a somewhat brash & unscrupoulously fierce 3 piece made up of 3 youthful, down to earth lads who are (to be frank) sick to the back teeth of today’s awful & shameful music scene. We long for an imperritive and eternally irreversible halt to be put to the tedious brain-washing evil that is all the insipid Modern day RnB bollocks and the fucking ‘Death’ metal ‘Emo’ shite that the brain-dead youth of today seem to be besotted with!
In the 60’s we were honoured by ground-breaking acts such as The Beatle’s & The Who, The 70’s we witnessed the rule-shattering Punk movement, The 80’s we experienced the refeshingly tasteful Mod revival from bands such as ‘The Jam’ & ‘Secret Affair’ A ridiculously entertaining series of 'heavy heavy hits' from Madness, not to mention a gut load of inspiring down-athon’s from a certain ‘Steven Morrissey’ & co. In the 90’s we had The (Underratedley rebellious) Brit-pop movement selflessly yet inspiringly driven by all time greats such as Damon Albarn & The Gallaghers and now we have the 2000’s…… And in terms of great British Rock n’ Roll… We have fuck all!!!
Fuelled by anger at the state of our once proud nation and by love of all things prim and glorious that we so confidently declare our own. We aim to bring back that raw & un-tarnished sound of a truly patriotic British 3 piece who love nothing more than to plug in and ‘Ave it!’! None of your over produced cack! No theatrics, no false emotions, no nonsense! Just tip top, rip roaring punchy as hell 3 minute singles that lads & lasses of all ages can actually relate to!
Weather the songs be about the general state of social class & our nation, the state of the current music scene, politics, war, modern culture or general world affairs... We assure you that with the bands Mod, Punk, Ska & Brit-pop song writing influences of The Jam, The Clash & The Who. These 3 young musketeers of modern music make the perfect battle alliance on the front line of today’s music scene!! Having been together a mere 6 months, and already headlined many gigs, recorded an entire demo album, and recieved masses of record label intrest and nothing less than brilliant reviews from around the world! Be it positive, or be it negative... A Day In The Life have so far proved to be Morecambe's most relentlessly talked about band. (And loving it!!) ;) See you on the circuit. x

Sounds Like: Here's what the Fans & Critics have had to say over the last few months

Sean (USA): It's official - A Day in the Life are my current favourite band in Britain. Super yobs! The band keeps sounding better and better! Fucking BUZZING. Thank God the reinforcements have arrived! Just when the Ordinary Boys went extremely fucking off their heads into Robbie Williams-land, A Day in the Life have arrived to reaffirm my faith in British mod rock!!
Rue Edgar: "Don't we all"/"Sonny the soldier" - the perfect single ??!!!
Skinny Ed: Rawness is what has been lacking and that’s why kids don’t give a shit about real music. Your lack of pretention really shines through and it's inspiring. One day the walls will come crashing down and bands like yourselves will be there kicking it down.
Billy-Jay (South-east London): Right you guys are amazing You lads sound very mod, i love it. I live in London but i want a cd. Seriously lads keep going your brilliant! KEEP THE FAITH DARLIN'S x
Charlie McGettigan (Irish singer/ songwriter): Great new songs! Ray Davies is alive and well and living in Morecambe!!
Jimmy (GlasgowMods.co.uk): fresh and energetic! Ohhhh makes me feel young again, they remind me of the Chords.
Alan Gregson (West Orange studio): Can't get that Eh Eh Oh Oh song out of me head. Bastards.
Random pissed up Skinhead at The York: Best fucking Mod band around for miles and miles!!
Aiden (Fan from Carlisle): Fucking quality last night!! I didn't realise you had such an attitude when it came to music! You guys were absolutely brilliant!
Steve Middlesborough (Radio DJ): Absolutley brilliant band!! Cocky bastards! But certainly something to be cocky about!!
