Who iz Dj Deuce? Well, he's that brotha that has been rockin tha turntables for the last 15 years. After listening to scratch solos on cassette tapes and watching bootleg NMS dj competion videos from JMJ, Dj Richie Rich(Dj for 3rd Bass), Dj Skratch(EPMD) and Dj Jazzy Jeff. Deuce started djin in 1989 while living in Germany and was taught how to skratch, beat juggle and do body tricks by a dj from Philly named Dj Black who was homies wit the legendary Dj Cash Money(88' DMC Champ).Moved back to Cali in 91 and started djin at house parties and entering small dj competions. Joined forces with a local tablist named Dj Ace and together they created an area wide fan base and were the first djs to spin Hip Hop in the clubs in Yuba City and Marysville which only played House Music at that time. And put out mixtapes to give away at parties and clubs. In 97' Deuce put together a 4 man turntablist crew called The Bionic Beat Bumz featuring Deuce, Dj Ray-Ray,Dj Wolfe and Dj Doubl 1 and extended crew member Dj Reese Roundtree as they took the Yuba City/Marysville club scene to another level by performing megamix dj sets. In 98' the Bumz disbanded and Dj Reese Roundtree who was the mixshow corrdinator at 103.5 The Bomb in Sacramento which was the first radio station to broadcast all Hip Hop and R&B asked Deuce to be a mixshow dj for the station along with Dj Alvin D, Dj DNS, DJ Tone Pesci, Dj Spin, Dj Supe, Dj Gino and Mixxula. One of the original members of Mixx and Company which is Sacramento's first and longest running record pool and dj company. What up Mixxula!! Started djin for Sacramento's number 1 hip hop clothing store called Getta Clue. Which is the first clothing store in Sacramento to have a resident dj spin live inside a retail store 7 days a week. Deuce was soon opening for acts like L.L. Cool J, Xzibit, Richie Rich, 3 X Crazy, Souls of Mischief, Tha Liks, Peanut Butter Wolf and Madlib, Dj Apollo(Triple Threat Djs), GrandWizard Theodore, Afrika Bambatta, ?uestlove of The Roots, Oakland Faders, (What up Platurn and Spair) and many others. Showcasing with Mixmaster Mike(ISP/Beastie Boys), Snake Eyez(89 Skratch Gangstaz) and Dj Deus(STA). Brought in a young dj by the name of Dj Knuckles(West Coast Mixshow Dj of the Year 2005/KBMB 103.5/KMEL 106.1) in 99' as his protege' and from there they really took over the Yuba City/Marysville club scene by doing 2x4 dj sets and releasing mixtapes together. Also making a name for themselves all around the Sacramento clubs like Club Ricci's with Reese Roundtree and at The Alpha Zone Club, The Tower Club etc,etc. In 04' Deuce was inducted to be a member of Sac-Town's illest dj crew The Twelves Wax AllStar Djs. Moved to Orlando in 2005 to bring the Cali dj style and the Nor Cal Movement to da South and also to get back in the radio game so look out ya boy. Dj Deuce is known for flippin different genres of music from Hip Hop to Old School Funk to Mashups to Beat Breaks in a flawless blend at any givin moment.
