DaKAH Hip Hop Symphony Orchestra: Rhythm Room Allstars: any band that has friends (because my friends rock!). Classical, classic jazz, and Broadway musicals (who can get enough of Avenue Q??). Oh, and all that other stuff, rock, reggae, indi- rock, and anything that is not offense to women.
Movies:
I am back into Strictly Ballroom, Harold and Maude, Diva, Starstruck- all of the movies I loved ten years ago (or more, cough). It is more the directors I look for than the movies. I like good story tellers.
Television:
Cutting out the TV and starting to paint like a mad hatter! So glad to be working again. Inspiration starts with just getting up!
Books:
Any Virginia Woolf Any Jeanette Winterson Any Chuck Palanuik Currently reading "Lust for Life" (about Vincent Van Gogh) Favorite is Kurt Vonnegut (of course) and I did Tim Robbins, too. Oh, and I have an obsession with Russian Literature (do not ask me why).
Heroes:
Anyone who could look at pain, hunger, fear, and create anyway. Who could look at the chaos of the world and find art and meaning even if only for a minute. Anyone who genuinely likes themselves for even one moment, one real, honest moment.
