I've figured it out! I AM Jimmy. I am not an imitation, facsimile or ghost of anyone else. All I want to do is play, record and produce music. I don't like vicarious people, and that's about it. I have a feel for the complexity of reality but also maintain the dexterity to weave in and out of it and ignore some bits and pieces when things don't work out. Sometimes contradiction is the only way to resolve a problem for me because I can't be happy with just one facet of a given phenomenon. I hardly ever see things as "done". It's all gray and six-sided. I appear unstable, but I am oftentimes progressing towards something you can't see because you haven't imagined it as I have. What's going on in my head is just as important to me as is what's going on in the world. It's all one big place as far as I'm concerned. Logic and emotion are completely interconnected for me and if you understand that, your time with me will be much less bizarre. We're all wrong and right at the same time. I've witnessed singularity and recognize it's traits but have only made it tangible by embracing chaos. What a wonderful world we live in!

My rates are as follows: $15/hr for tracking, $10/hr for mixing. My day rate (8hrs minimum booked) is $100.
WHAT I CAN DO FOR YOU:
-Provide you with a (very) affordable recording, mixing and production service
-HELP your project sound a little more professional through the use of Melodyne, Drumagog and other pitch correction/sound replacement plugins.
-Make samples of your drum kit to use with Drumagog so that you get a commercial sound without having a generic, impersonal drum sound!
-Relate to you and help you with ideas and even (maybe) provide you with a tip or two on your instrument
-Tune your drums so that they sound the best they can for the recording
WHAT I CAN NOT DO FOR YOU
-Make up for sloppy, inconsistent playing
-Make you "sound like" another band
-Turn shit into gold
Basically, if you come to me with a shitty old drum kit with heads that haven't been changed for years, unmaintained guitars with old strings, and you don't play/sing at a professional level, then you're going to sound like you recorded in a garage with shitty equipment. I can only help you VERY little. If your musicianship and the sound of your instruments isn't recording caliber, you need to either improve, slap on new heads or turn to a big studio where your flaws can be accounted for by editing (and spend probably three times as much).
If you come to me with new heads, strings, plenty of rest and practice, a drummer with good time or that can play to a click, a goal as to what you want the production to sound like, and a good attitude, the end result will be something we can both be proud of that you can actually sell at your shows, that will keep people listening when they go to your MySpace.
