I try to find Inspiration in everything I see and everything I do..So if you catch me looking at you and seem kinda bewildered, do not freak out..LOL
I like looking at things from different perspectives even if it means looking at it with one eye open..lol
I love the smell of my dark, damp, cold painting studio ( believe me, it sounds more prestigious than it looks..LOL)
I love the smell of my Paints, The pulsations and the vibrations of the grinder under my skin.. like electricity, it flows through me fueling my creative impulse into an almost uncontrolable balance of chaos.. yet at peace with the end results.. which seems random till the final coat of paint is applied..
( i think it's th paint fumes talking.. llol)
I am fascinated by the female figurative, especially when it is combined with dance more specifically Ballet and Flamenco..
I also love sketching the female figurative and I am very lucky to have willing models.. ( hey I should be grateful but i let them keep my sketches LOL)
ARTISTS' STATEMENT:
My paintings allow figurative exploration
through Mixed Media. They are an attempt to
capture a snapshot of a trivial moment. To
immortalize what initially seems insignificant.
Creating visual tangibility through the textures I
generate, Making them accessible for all who
want to see.
We all take the risk of having our emotions out
in the open for judgement. Understanding how
vulnerable we are. As artists, we are much more
prone to such scrutiny. Yet shedding that
vulnerability will leave us clothed and comforted.
We are no less prone to that type of thinking but,
still afraid regardless of what other people say.
Through the juxtaposition of styles I have been
experimenting with and the results that I have
achieved, I find that sometimes the truth that we
hold as artists can be bent and even broken.
