While in elementary he joined the choir and moved on to the band at Glade middle school in La Place, LA. He started on the drums first and then moved on to wind instruments. He can play the sax, horn, trumpet, tuba, clairnet and he has some keyboard skills. He reads and writes music as well as compose music. His mother gave him the name "Gangsta", because," he is the gangsta of music", she says. He writes his own lyrics and creats his own tracks for his raps. He also does the racks for his younger sister, "Lil Mizz", who is his number one fan, as quoted by her. He has been an extra in the movie "Double Jeopardy" with Ashley Judd and Tommy Lee Jones.
