About Me

Christina Chatfield is an award-winning music producer and sound designer. Born into a family of professional musicians, she was exposed to music beginning at a very young age through lessons on piano, guitar, and voice. While growing up in southwestern Ohio Christina became a fan of electronic music as a result of the Midwestern scene, her tastes heavily shaped by the sounds of nearby Detroit and Chicago. While attending numerous events throughout the Midwest, Christina developed a passion for music production and decided she wanted to take her interest to a higher level.
In 2001 Christina moved to Boston, Massachusetts to study audio production at Emerson College. She began hosting the since-retired electronic music show Revolutions on the school's highly acclaimed radio station, 88.9 WERS. Soon she discovered her strength in sound design and electronic production, leading her to pursue a Bachelor's degree in music synthesis at the renowned Berklee College of Music in 2004. Knowing she had finally found her passion, Christina quickly exceled in her studies and went on to achieve great success at the school. Her work was selected to be featured as part of the Berklee Music Technology Divisional CD compilation. In 2006 she graduated with with Magna Cum Laude honors and was chosen to receive the Laurie Anderson Women in Music Technology award for her outstanding work in music production and sound design.
Christina currently resides in San Francisco, California. She is an avid user of both hardware and software in the studio. Her frequent use of analog synthesizers gives her music a unique, organic sound that stands apart from the rest. Logic Pro remains her software weapon of choice, though she is affluent in several other applications. Working under her Anitserk pseudonym, she produces techno, house, and downtempo. She also collaborates with fellow Berklee alum Danny Patterson to form the duo Monocle . Their debut single Dilleniidae (May 2007, Racecar Productions) was an instant success. Dilleniidae appeared on the minimal charts of several download sites, soaring to number 2 on Dance Tracks Digital and landing in the top 40 on Juno Records.
In addition to developing her various music projects, Christina works in sound design for visual media and likes to experiment with circuit bending.
All tracks on this page were written by Anitserk alone EXCEPT Dilleniidae which was co-written with Danny Patterson as Monocle. Check out Monocle on Myspace to hear more.
