Sovereign

About Me

Formed in late 2004, Rising Hour is a project of it's sole member known as Ephphatha. The music can generally be described as black metal, although it is never constrained by such a definition. Lyrical content varies, from philosophy to war, from faith & worship to inner struggles, and many other subjects. The goal of this music is not to preach or convert or ridicule, but to express, inquire, and enjoy.
Black metal's typical message is overwhelmed with negativity and problems, but few musicians/bands ever propose solutions or truly thought-provoking concepts, let alone discuss anything considered positive. Rising Hour tries to balance both good and bad things in the messages that are presented in each song. Most of all, the music of Rising Hour is simply about life.
