I am definitly in a weird phase with my musical taste. I still love jazz. There is nothing better than a smokey voice belting out to the sound of true musicians. I like punk like Rancid and Me First and the Gimme Gimmes.
I'm an action flick junkie. But my top 5 are Resevoir Dogs, Boondock Saints, Kill Bill, The Good Girl, and Lock Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels. I reserve scary movies for Valentines day, but that would be my second favorite genre... I dig guy ritchie movies... and tarantino flicks...
I hate reality TV. Give me scripted drama starring beautiful people or a good crime show any day. I do tend to get sucked into the History channel and A&E... goes with being a know-it-all I guess.
All of them. The classics teach us history with a little flair. "Fiction reveals truths that reality obscures." Philosophy is just a science that has yet to be named... so I read as much of it as possible. And the lost art of poetry keeps me entertained for hours. I know its a bit cliche, but I love Rilke's Letters to a Young Poet for all of the cliche reasons. My guilty pleasure is definitly Chuck Palahniuk. I have started Crime and Punishment...
Shera, Princess of Power. Ever wonder why she went off the air before He-Man? Its because she was actually able to get rid of the bad guys while He-Man's gay ass had to keep trying again and again. She was the real super hero. But seriously, my heroes are all historical figures from the Bible. The strength and faith they showed is something I aspire to daily.
