Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash:
I love to write. I want to be a writer for a profession; ethnography, fiction, children's books, EVERYTHING!!! I also love working with people, so the plan is to travel and maybe settle down by starting a non profit and writing. I am also really into tattoos, if you have some cool work to show off I would love to see it!

Neil Young:
I love a random mix of stuff, but if I am by myself I usually listen to older stuff that my parents raised me on: Johnny Cash, CCR, Neil Young, The Beatles, Janis Joplin, Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, the Dire Straits, Jimmi Hendrix, the list goes on... but Dylan is my favorite of course!
I like movies that fuck with your head. like fight club, memento, Run Lola Run, spun, train spotting,Vanilla Sky, You me and everyone we know, or Fear and loathing in Las Vegas. I also just watched Thanks you for Smoking and LOVED IT! Chick flicks can get me too though... some of my favorites are Garden State (I love Zach Braff), Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and Fried Green Tomatoes (one of my all time favorites!) I also love Hitchcock movies, my dad used to watch them with me when I was a kid. Truth be told, I usually fall asleep...the second that I lie down to get comfortable and we turn the lights off...I am out. Its a character flaw really. I guess if I am not glued to the television and saying "what the fuck" at the end...I probably won't remember the movie for more than a week.
SCRUBS!!!! I love that show and will never get sick of re-watching episodes. It is amazing. I have also newly gotten obsessed with The Sopranos- holy shit... that show is so intense!!! I also like the standard shows that everyone likes: Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE David Sedaris. He seriously rocks my world. Me Talk Pretty One Day and Naked are my two all time favorite books. I really liked Dan Savage's Skipping Towards Gommorah. I also have a history of getting into old novels such as Ethan Frome and before my Sedaris addiction I was really into Kay Gibbons. More recently I read In COld Blood by Truman Capote. That one was intense, but I HIGHLY recommend that you also watch Capote and In Cold Blood, cause the three different interpretations are really interesting to compare. The poisonwood Bible is also amazing... it was my graduation present from Kevin and if you haven't read it, start it now! I also think children's books are always great. Obviously I love Shel Silverstein, The Giving Tree, Light in the Attic, and Where the Sidewalk Ends. There are so many messages hidden in children's books that perhaps you didn't find when you were a kid, it is amazing. If you haven't read Hope For the Flowers, you should. That book is hella sentimental for me, but it is also a really great story.
